Chapter Four: Prophecy in Amber

The characters descend into the macabre underground lair of Zelios beneath Bran Castle, navigating a dizzying stone staircase alongside a dark abyss. In this candlelit cavern swarming with hundreds of rats, they must use an amber brooch to decode a prophetic tome featuring solid gold pages and a mottled amber cover.

Following the dark revelations, the coterie journeys to Wallachia, scaling the exhausting 1,400 rock-hewn steps to the towering Arghes Castle. Here, they are hosted in the lavish yet oppressive windowless quarters of the mortal Vlad Dracula, witnessing the political and martial tension that precedes his dark, legendary destiny.

The fragile peace shatters when the Sabbat launches a brutal nocturnal assault on the fortress. As chaos erupts on the bloody mountain plateau, Dracula undergoes his fateful Embrace. The characters are thrust into a relentless three-way battle for survival amidst armored horses, impaled corpses, and the terrifying flashing of steel in the dead of night.
