The Antechamber of Madness presents a wide, oppressive dungeon hall designed to unnerve your players. The floor is entirely coated in a highly sticky, translucent slime that can act as difficult terrain, forcing strategic movement to avoid getting trapped or slipping. Scattered bones serve as grim environmental details, hinting at the fate of previous intruders and offering minor, unsettling cover against ranged attacks if characters drop to the ground. At the far end of this dreadful chamber, a massive wrought-iron portcullis stands as a formidable chokepoint, separating the party from the inner sanctum of the crime syndicate's lair. Lighting here should be dim and eerie, enhancing the translucent nature of the floor slime. For VTTs like Foundry or Roll20, setting the slime as a slowdown zone and the portcullis as a locked, interactable wall will create a highly tactical and atmospheric encounter.
