Welcome to **The Drying Patios**, a deceptively tranquil agricultural setting that quickly turns into a highly exposed tactical battleground. These expansive, flat stone yards are primarily used for drying harvested coffee beans, offering wide-open sightlines and minimal natural cover. Characters will have to rely on scattered wooden drying rakes, low piles of beans, and rudimentary tools to avoid incoming fire or unnatural threats. Beneath the mundane surface of this working plantation lies a darker truth. Strange, circular symbols are etched deep into the stone, hidden by the drying crops. For Game Masters, this presents a perfect encounter hook: as the investigators or adventurers sweep away the beans during a frantic firefight or investigation, they might inadvertently activate an ancient ward or summon a creature from the mythos. The lack of verticality makes positioning absolutely crucial. The wide-open space forces players to think tactically about movement and range, while the esoteric symbols can serve as hazardous zones, magical traps, or objective markers for ritual disruption.
