Tactically, the layout offers excellent heavy cover behind the clustered hypersleep pods, whether intact or utterly destroyed. The pooled cryogenic coolant on the deck acts as a severe environmental hazard, potentially causing slips, freezing damage, or chemical burns to those navigating the room's center during a firefight. Game Masters can use the sole sealed pod—smeared with blood from the inside—as a horrifying focal point for an investigation or an encounter trigger. Are the players trying to extract a desperate survivor, or desperately trying to contain whatever is mutating inside? Line of sight is constantly interrupted by the massive pod clusters, making this an extremely claustrophobic and tense battleground for close-quarters skirmishes.
