Inside the main wooden structure, investigators will navigate a cramped mercantile area cluttered with heavy crates of ivory reserves, offering solid improvised barricades. The wooden walls provide some protection against small arms fire, but the multiple entryways—a wide double front door and a discreet rear loading exit—make it a challenging location to defend. Deeper within the compound lies a seemingly innocuous medical cabinet that houses the outpost's true danger: reinforced cages containing deadly mutant blue-winged tsetse flies. For VTT platforms, Game Masters can utilize dynamic lighting to contrast the blinding exterior sunlight with the dim, shadowed interior of the storage rooms. The cages themselves serve as highly interactive environmental hazards; shattering them during a firefight can unleash a lethal, buzzing swarm upon both investigators and cultists alike.
